About grow

grow cluster, or simply grow, serves as the central hub for start-ups and emerging young companies in the region on the left bank of Lake Zurich. We provide customized laboratory and office space at competitive rates and maintain a strong network with research institutes and universities. Our core mission is to support emerging companies and start-ups particularly in the life sciences sectors (health, food and environment).

Our services for you

We offer modern, customized laboratory and office spaces that can be flexibly adapted to the growth stages of emerging companies. We also connect you with research institutions and provide comprehensive support for young entrepreneurs. Our primary focus is on supporting companies and start-ups in the life sciences, particularly in the areas of health, food and the environment.

We work closely with the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) in Wädenswil. The ZHAW has an excellent infrastructure and highly specialized equipment in the area of life sciences and on the “Future of Food” campus. This equipment is available for use by the grow companies by arrangement, subject to availability.

grow cluster and Stiftung grow

grow cluster is supported by the foundation “Stiftung grow”, which was established in 2004. The purpose of the foundation is to create excellent framework conditions for innovative young companies and start-ups in the life sciences sectors of health, food and the environment. This support enables the companies to grow and create new jobs on the left bank of Lake Zurich.

The main sponsors of Stiftung grow are the city of Wädenswil, the municipality of Horgen, the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), Tuwag Immobilien AG and Zürcher Kantonalbank. They finance our operating activities either directly and/or indirectly. We are also supported by property companies that lease space to our member companies.

grow has been registered as a trademark in the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property (IPI) trademark register since 30 January 2020.
